MACH Machine Tools: on a mission

From the eight machine tools on display from MACH Machine Tools (Hall 20, Stand 370), seven are equipped with the versatile DynaPath WinDelta control. Visitors to the stand will not only be able to appreciate the high performance and productivity levels of the machines and recognise the value they represent, but also familiarise themselves with the DynaPath control.
A new addition to MACH Machine Tools’ product line-up is a high-speed machining centre that is said to perform as stylishly as it looks. The MACH MDHS-65S is for the fast processing of high-precision components, mould tools and copper electrodes. It features a fixed, rigid and thermally-stable double column structure, roller-type linear guides, a high-speed HSK40E spindle (7.5 kW/24,000 rpm), a specially-designed spindle chiller system, a servo-driven 12-tool ATC and, of course, the DynaPath WinDelta control that provides 10,000-block look-ahead capability and dynamic path smoothing.

MecWash unveils latest aqueous parts washer

MecWash (Hall 18, Stand 114) is introducing a new aqueous cleaning system, the MWX300, which is the compact version of its MWX400. Designed for low-volume specialist applications, the cleanliness standards of the MWX300 make it suitable for sectors such as aerospace, electronics and medical. The machine features enhanced functionality and improved accessibility for easy maintenance. It also utilises technology used in many smart machine tools, which according to MecWash makes the MWX300 one of the most advanced, connected parts cleaning systems in the world.

Ground-breaking XYZ machines on show

The range of machines from XYZ Machine Tools (Hall 17, Stand 200) offers customers a natural route of progression from manual through to multi-axis machining and turning centres. XYZ is further enhancing that progression with the arrival of two new and innovative groups of machining centres – the XYZ TMC (Toolroom Machining Centre) series and RMX 2-OP – both of which are on the stand.

There are four machines in the XYZ TMC range, all of which are fully equipped three-axis machining centres based on linear-rail VMCs from XYZ Machine Tools. The machines are available as 500, 750, 1000 and 1600 variants, with the number referencing the X-axis travel. Also on the stand, the company has brought its XYZ 2-OP machine, fully up to date with the latest RMX ProtoTRAK control. Offering a footprint of just 775 x 1380 mm, users can relocate it anywhere in the shop to relieve pressure on other machines by carrying out second operation work.

Showtime for Mills CNC

A total of 16 machine tools, two SYNERGi automated manufacturing cells, three cobots undertaking a range of operations and new software solutions from the Training Academy are all on display by Mills CNC (Hall 19, Stand 100), which says it has taken the largest stand at the show.

Machine on the stand include seven recently introduced models: two turning centres – the compact 10” chuck Lynx 2600SY with Y-axis and sub-spindle, and the TT 1300SYYB twin-spindle/twin-turret machine with Y-axis capabilities on upper and lower turrets; two mill-turn machines – the 8” chuck SMX 2100ST with 1040 mm maximum turning length, and the large-capacity 21” chuck SMX 5100LB with maximum turning length of 3050 mm; and three machining centres – the SVM 4100 VMC for aluminium alloys and lightweight steels, the BVM 5700 premium machining centre, and the T-4000HS high-speed machining centre.

Grinding and turning take centre stage

RK International Machine Tools (Hall 20, Stand 265) is focusing attention on its extensive grinding machine portfolio and the recently introduced Europa eturn VS range of manual lathes. In total, seven machines are on display with all but one under power. Grinding machines on show come from its long-term supply partners Robbi, Perfect, Delta and Jainnher; covering all aspects of abrasive machining through universal grinding, surface grinding, vertical spindle rotary table grinding and centreless grinding.

Those looking for manual turning can see and discuss the Europa eturn VS series, represented by the mid-range VS390 gap-bed lathe with 390 mm swing over bed (610 mm in the gap). The range also features eturn Energy Management Technology (EEMT), which helps to reduce energy consumption when idle by putting the lathe into sleep mode and switching off all unnecessary power consumption.
