IDS Imaging Development Systems is expanding its uEye FA series with new IP69K industrial cameras featuring Sony STARVIS 2 sensors for reliable machine vision in harsh environments. The new models offer resolutions from 2 to 12.5 megapixels for industrial automation and inspection applications. 

Designed for demanding production environments, the uEye FA cameras provide IP69K protection against high-pressure cleaning, dust and contamination, while operating at temperatures down to -20°C. The new models use Sony STARVIS 2 rolling shutter sensors, including the IMX662 (2 MP), IMX664 (4 MP), IMX675 (5 MP), IMX678 (8 MP) and IMX676 (12.5 MP). All are GigE Vision-compliant for straightforward integration into existing systems. 

The sensors combine high light sensitivity extending into the near-infrared (NIR) range with low noise and Sony’s Clear HDR process for extended dynamic range. An asynchronous exposure trigger further supports demanding industrial applications, helping deliver detailed images in challenging lighting conditions. The cameras are suited to applications ranging from manufacturing automation to quality inspection, providing reliable image capture where conventional machine vision equipment may struggle.
