AWI delivers present to local charity

A support group for children with Down Syndrome and their families has received a 10 th
birthday present from Alloy Wire International (AWI). Up and Downs, which was formed as
a charity by mums Diane Hughes and Jemma Sagar in November 2014, has become the
latest beneficiary of the company’s ‘Wired for Good’ campaign, which has donated over
£55,000 to local community groups and organisations. The latest £5000 donation will make
a big difference to the group, which provides families across Birmingham, the Black Country
and Worcestershire with access to peer-to-peer support and subsidised activities.

Kasto Ltd relocates to Midlands

The UK and Ireland subsidiary of German sawing machine, storage system and materials
handling equipment manufacturer Kasto Maschinenbau has relocated its headquarters from
Milton Keynes to the Midlands. Kasto Ltd is now sited on Beauchamp Business Park in
Leicester, ensuring even closer to its main customer base.
At the opening ceremony last month, Jonathan Riegel, sixth-generation board member, and
fifth-generation managing partner Armin Stolzer, both made presentations in what is the
firm’s 180 th anniversary year. Emilio Lens, managing director of Kasto Ltd, also spoke, saying:
“The new location allows us to respond to our customers’ needs more quickly and flexibly.

Lord Harrington is new Make UK chair
