ETG sheet metal event

On 4 June, the Engineering Technology Group’s (ETG) Fabrication Division will host a sheet metal event in conjunction with its fabrication principal Durma, which has more than 1000 machine installations at UK businesses. Hosted by product manager Andrew Smith-Hughes,and supported by Durma sales and technical engineers, the event will include technical presentations and live demonstrations on aDurma HD-F 3015 6kW flat-bed fibre laser and AD-Servo 30175 press brake. £14m funding

A trio of manufacturing related research initiatives led by the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) have received a £14m of funding through Glasgow City Region Innovation Accelerator programme.The three projects will accelerate productivity and sustainability across local manufacturing and engineering specialists, with smaller businesses working alongside partners such as Boeing, SSE Renewables, Howden, Thales and Babcock. The projects are supported with £5.4m from the UK Government and up to £8.6m from industry partners.

Major names invest in ModuleWorks

The bi-annual MACH exhibition once again proved successful for cutting tool manufacturer Industrial Tooling Corporation (ITC).
