Mazak posts strong machine orders

Yamazaki Mazak has posted strong results for machine orders in the UK and Ireland, and is looking forward with confidence to 2020. The growth has been achieved across all sectors and machine classes, with particularly positive performances in general subcontracting, aerospace, and the oil and gas sector.

Last year saw a strong performance from Mazak’s five-axis machines, specifically the Variaxis range and Integrex i-series. The company has also reported robust growth for its HCN series of horizontal machining centres, notably in the oil and gas sector, and the UK-built QT machines. Crowds get set for SteelFab

SteelFab 2020 is set to run on 13-16 January in Sharjah, where nearly 300 exhibitors from over 20 countries are expected to fill 11,000 sq m of exhibition space.

Over the course of the three days, the organiser is expecting close to 7000 visitors from around 70 different countries to attend the show. Broadbent Stanley and Fermat in agency deal

Czech Republic-based Fermat Group has signed an agency agreement that will give Broadbent Stanley the exclusive UK rights to the full range of Fermat’s large-capacity horizontal floor and table mills, as well as its grinding machines.

Box-way, heavy-duty, horizontal boring machines from Fermat range in size from 1200 mm to 28,100 mm in the X axis, with up to 6000 mm in the Y axis. Similarly, the company’s grinding machines provide extensive capacity, with between-centre distances of up to 6000 mm and a capability to grind parts weighing up to 5000 kg.
