The president and CEO of Okuma Corporation, Yoshimaro Hanaki, has been awarded a Japanese medal of honour entitled: ‘The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon’.

Hanaki’s medal is for those who have made distinguished achievements in international relations, promotion of Japanese culture, advancements in their field, developments in welfare or preservation of the environment. The award ceremony was held by the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and culminated with Hanaki meeting His Majesty the Emperor at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo.
